A handle butterfly valve is a type of valve that is manually operated by a handle.

Structure and Features:

• It features a handle that is designed for easy gripping and manipulation. The handle is connected to a shaft that controls the rotation of a disc (butterfly disc) inside the valve body.
• The valve body can be made of materials such as metal (e.g., carbon steel, stainless steel) . The butterfly disc is typically circular and is positioned within the valve body.
• This type of valve has a relatively simple construction, which contributes to its low cost and ease of installation and maintenance.

Working Principle:

• By turning the handle, the shaft rotates the butterfly disc. When the disc is perpendicular to the flow of the fluid in the pipeline, the valve is closed, blocking the flow.
• When the disc is rotated to be parallel to the flow, the valve is fully open, allowing the fluid to pass through freely. Adjusting the position of the handle can control the degree of opening of the valve and thus regulate the flow rate of the fluid.

Applications:

• In water supply and drainage systems, handle butterfly valves can be used to control the flow and pressure of water.
• They are also found in some small industrial pipeline systems for controlling the flow of liquids and gases.
