What's the triple eccentric butterfly valve?
First of all, we need to know what a triple eccentric butterfly valve is and what the three eccentricities refer to:
1. One offset formed between the valve shaft center and the valve plate sealing surface.
2. One offset formed between the valve shaft center and the center line of the valve body.
3. One offset formed between the center line of the valve body sealing surface and the valve center line.
Features of the triple eccentric butterfly valve:
1. Short structural size, small volume, light weight, and convenient operation.
2. Adopts the integral shaft mechanism, the butterfly plate has high strength and a large flow area.
3. The unique triple eccentric design reduces the sealing friction loss and greatly extends the service life.
4. Metal hard sealing is resistant to high temperatures, low temperatures, and high pressures, and has a wide range of applications.
What are the common connection methods of triple eccentric butterfly valves?
Different connection methods only affect the form of connection with the pipeline. For butterfly valves, except for the different shapes of the valve body, everything else is the same. Common ones include flange type, wafer type, lug type, socket type, etc.
Sealing forms of triple eccentric butterfly valves?
There are the following two common types in the market:
1. Triple eccentric multi-layer hard sealing structure, and the sealing material is the interlayer of metal steel sheet and graphite or high-temperature asbestos sheet.
2. Triple eccentric soft sealing, generally PTFE, RPTFE, EPDM, NBR, etc. The sealing material is pressed on the butterfly plate by the pressure ring and fixed by the inner hexagon on the pressure ring. When the butterfly plate is closed, the sealing material contacts the metal valve seat on the valve body to achieve the sealing effect. Such sealing structures can all achieve NO leakage.
